These are all of the birds seen at Eagle Bluffs. There are 294 birds listed on ebird.org as having been seen at Eagle Bluffs. This is a great chart that shows what time of year the birds are usually seen.
These images were taken at Eagle Bluffs by Bill Allen, Terry Willis Baker, Bob Crow, Terese Dishaw, Chris Dohm, Zach Eldridge, Doug Hardesty, Garrett Hise, Brian Lockwood, Deborah Lucia, Rebecca Jean Miera, Cheryl Rosenfeld, Chris Shoffner, Jon Rapp, Julie Smallwood, Dennis Smarr, Colette Vranicar, and Doug Wallace from the Facebook group Friends of Eagle Bluffs Photography. I am very thankful for their permission to use their beautiful photographs.
This list contains every bird (currently 176) that I could find a picture of from the Friends of Eagle Bluffs Photography Facebook group. It contains many commonly seen birds, but also many birds that are rarely seen at Eagle Bluffs.
Here is a list of all 448 birds documented in Missouri at mobirds.org.
This page has several companion pages:
- Birds of Eagle Bluffs (Beginner’s Edition) contains only the 77 most common and most easily recognized birds.
- Birds of Eagle Bluffs (Common Edition) contains the 135 most commonly seen birds at Eagle Bluffs.
- Birds of Eagle Bluffs (Children’s Summer Edition) lists the top 22 birds to know for your very first time birdwatching at Eagle Bluffs in the summer.
- Birds of Eagle Bluffs (Children’s Winter Edition) lists the top 28 birds to know for your very first time birdwatching at Eagle Bluffs in the winter.
The number following the name of the bird represents the relative frequency of the bird. This is a log scale, so a bird with a score of 3 is 10 times more likely to be seen than a bird with a score of 2. The scale ranges from 0 to 4, with 0 being exceedingly uncommon, and 4 being very frequent.
Links to the ebird.org webpage about the species are provided for those species that are underlined. (These are added slowly as I read about them.)
